Of course, You can have control over your life even over your destiny but you need to have a proper mindset.

Growth Mindset is the belief that we can develop and improve our skills and Talents through hard work, good strategies and dedication.

When we are talking about Growth mindset, there are two major parts. Those are :

Belief:

First you have to trust your self that you can put effort, and work hard to learn skills and develop your talent. And of course make your life better.

Action:

Believing in yourself is not enough, You have to take action. you have to put your effort and work hard.

And it is believed that growth mindset is a key for success.

But sometimes there are wrong myths about Growth mindset.
Either you can have It or not: and this wrong because we all have both Growth mindset and fixed mindset in different situations. What is important is we need to try grow more and more our Growth mindset.
Growth mindset is just being positive: and this wrong because just thinking positive by itself is not enough at all. You Need to Act, you need to put effort, you need to work hard.
Effort is Everything: and this wrong because working hard, putting your effort to the best is important . But it is not everything. You need to have strategic thinking. You need to ask yourself , if your effort is working for your favor or not. If not, you may need to change your strategy or way of doing things.

So the next question will be:

How to develop a growth mindset?

We can develop this mindset basically in three ways. Belief wise, Vocabulary wise and Action wise

Belief wise

1. Be willing to try new things.

Trying new things gave you better experiences that helps some aspects of yourself . This makes you think I can improve something if I try.

2. Embrace and love challenges.

There is a famous saying that Smooth roads never make good drivers. Believing challenges are there to be the best version of you.

3. Think realistically about time and effort.

It takes time to learn, it takes time to notice the output from your effort and hard working.

4. Have a sense of purpose.

This encourages you to take action. Because its gives a meaning for your actions. And this helps you to be more persistent.

Vocabulary wise

You need to pay attention for your words when talking with other people but most importantly with your-self.

1. Use the word “Yet”

“I can’t do it yet”

Instead of saying “I can’t do it” say “I can’t do it yet”

so, The word Yet act as:

Action trigger : it gives you a meaning I can’t do it, but I am going to do it. It encourages to action, start working on it.

Positive belief : it has a meaning you believe you can do it later. Just not for now.

2. Use the word “Learn” instead of “failure”

Instead of saying I am “failing” at this thing, say I am learning about it.

This technique convert failure from disappointment to a spring board for growth.

Action wise

1. Praise the process over the Goal

Consider the goal as a reflection for what you have learned through the experience.

Mostly If you have a strong process and you build a better system of doing things, it can apply to other similar things and you can achieve multiple goals by similar process.

2. Stick with the task.

Sometimes we may struggle with doing things but Staying patient is important. If it remain not working, ask yourself questions like What can I do better next time to make this thing work?

3. Make a goal for every goal accomplished

Getting improvement is a life time process. When a first 1 house power car was invented, it was a great invention, but, still now the automotive industry improving for the last 100 years and will continue improving for the future. Setting goal immediately after the previous goal helps to maintain working momentum.
